The Cheyenne Sting U-14 Gold Girls team came home victorious this past weekend, after competing in the championship game for the 6V6 indoor winter soccer league in Ft. Collins, Colorado The indoor league was played at the Edge Sports Center in Ft. Collins from 1/14/2008 through 2/24/2008. Entering the championship round on Sunday, the U-14 gold girls team had a record of 4-1-0 and took on the Power Rangers who had a record of 5-0-0. The score was tied at 4-4 at the end of regulation time period. They played a 3-minute overtime, which ended in the same 4-4 tie. This period was proceeded by a 3-shot shoot-out. Cheyenne scored on their first two shots and Cheyenne's goalie, Kelley Fisher, stopped both of the Power Rangers first two shots, ending the game in a 2-0 shootout win for the Cheyenne U-14 Gold Girls team. Cheyenne goals were scored by Jaymie Syracuse, Torrie Peth, and Alysha Honaker. The team, consisted of the following players: Cassidy Agulair, Ashley Barrowman, Kelley Fisher, Kirsti Gapter, Alysha Honaker, Samia Meeks, Torrie Peth, and Jaymie Syracuse. They were coached by David Weese.
